Time for another Tech Talk, Our Digital Skills Officer Kate has some advice on colour filters for your apple devices.

Did you know that glare or brightness is one of the most commonly reported challenges encountered by Vi people when using technology? You might be aware that you can adjust the brightness of your screen, but there is another, additional way to address the issue of overly bright screens.

Your phone or tablet naturally emits a ‘blue’ toned light which is known to cause increased eye strain. By heading to Accessibility > Display and Text Size > Colour Filters (if you have an Apple device), you can adjust the hue and intensity of the light emitted by your iPhone or iPad. For instance, some people find that it can help to adjust the colour filter so that their screen emits a yellowish-orange light rather than its default blue tone.
