Conwy Sight Loss Group Celebrates New Three-Year
Funding
The Conwy Sight Loss Group are very pleased to announce they have recently been awarded funding from the Gwynt y Môr Wind Farm Fund and RWE.
Supporting the Group for the Next Three Years
The three-year funding will help this thriving group to cover venue costs and, even more excitingly, allow the group to try new activities and workshops during meetings.
For the walking group, the funding also means that transport provision is an option for some locations that are inaccessible by public transport.
Friendship, Support and Shared Experiences
Our Conwy Sight Loss Group and Walking Group not only provide opportunities to try new activities, but are also friendly and supportive groups for people with lived experience of vision impairment living in Conwy County.
The groups provide opportunities for people to connect with others, share experiences and enjoy activities together.
A Message from the Group Chairman
Group Chairman, Christopher Copeman, says:
“I’d like to thank the Gwynt y Môr Wind Farm Fund and RWE for their kind donation. It will help towards enhancing the lives of those of us with a visual impairment.
Regular social events are beneficial to all of us whatever our sight levels and personal situations. Many have formed new friendships and learned strategies from colleagues on how to cope.
The grant will allow us to expand our activities and attract more people to an already vibrant group.”
Looking to the Future
We are looking forward to seeing the group develop, thrive and, most importantly, create even more fond memories for everyone who attends.
