Hemianopia is a common condition in which large sections of your vision are missing. This condition is commonly experienced after a Stroke but can also develop after an Acquired Brain Injury, Tumour or Trauma.  Commonly, people with Hemianopia lose one half of their visual field e.g. right sided Hemianopia (right sided blindness) or left sided Hemianopia (left sided blindness) but people can also experience a loss of quadrant’s rather than halves.

There is no specific treatment for this condition although vision may change in the time following from a Stroke.
