Raise money for Vision Support and enjoy a great day out!!
Chester Business Club is offering all local charities the opportunity to raise funds for their own charitable coffers by getting volunteers to take part in the annual Chester Charity Walk.
Vision Support is taking part and if you, your family, friends or volunteers want to take part please email events@visionsupport.org.uk with the names of those wishing to take part so we can register you and send you your Sponsorship Forms.
This year’s Walk will take place on Sunday 1st October 2017. For those who have not previously taken part, it’s important to point out that far from being any kind of competitive race, the Walk is a gentle Sunday morning stroll, its distance only six miles (and a bit!) and there are Refreshment Stops en route so it all makes for a very enjoyable experience!
Starting from Chester Racecourse at 11am (Registration is from 10.30am) the route takes walkers over Grosvenor Bridge, then on to the Duke’s Drive, on to Eccleston Village from where it’s through The Meadows alongside the River Dee before reaching the Finish in Chester city centre.
And to help everyone on their way, walkers will be sustained by way of the Chester Business Club’s legendary refreshments: Mars Bars, Orange Juice, Bacon Butties & Coffee – and, finally, a refreshing Gin & Tonic (or a soft drink).
You can, if you wish, further promote Vision Support by encouraging Walkers to wear ‘branded’ T-shirts, sweatshirts or a tabard.
The more money you raise, the more Vision Support gets to keep – and all Walkers raising in excess of £100 will be entered into a Free Draw with the chance of winning one of a number of valuable Prizes!
