Vision Support is a regional charity which was established in 1876, we now operate in many parts of Cheshire and North Wales providing local support and services within the local community. We exist to support vision impaired people and raise awareness of their needs.
Everything we do is consciously directed towards helping us to achieve our Mission:
Raise awareness about vision impairment and provide services for people who are blind or partially sighted that aim to increase independence and wellbeing, and reduce social isolation across North East Wales and Cheshire.
We work closely with local authorities and other organisations to ensure we reach as many people as possible, offering specialist advice about any issues relating to vision impairment. We also provide a wide variety of services within the local community such as:
· Resource Centres
· Mobile Community Information Service
· Rehabilitation Workers (contracted to Social Services)
· Rehabilitation Assistants
· Support with independent living skills
· Supplier of daily living and low vision aids
