We are pleased to announce our “VI Volunteer Mentoring Project”, a brand new Active Inclusion project which aims to support people over the age of 25 living in Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham who are long-term unemployed or economically inactive with building skills and confidence to improve employability.
The project will also support participants to find volunteering and/or education opportunities.
Those on the project will receive support to overcome barriers such as transport and access to technology, as well as emotional support to overcome issues relating to confidence and motivation.
We are working with Wales Council for Voluntary Action to deliver this project, which is being funded by the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO). The project will run from March 2018 until August 2019.
