On behalf of Vision Support and the people with vision impairment we work with, we wish to express our sincere appreciation to Llandrillo College and the retail students for raising £127.60 on their sponsored walk on the 24 May.
The students were joined on the day by Vision Support’s Funding Officer Janette Williams and Hemingway, Vision Support’s mascot dog. She says that the students were a credit to the college and it was a very enjoyable day.
The money will be used to purchase an Amazon Echo for demonstration at our Resource Centres. This new voice command technology – where items respond to your voice – is opening up a whole new world for blind and partially sighted people and we are incredibly grateful to the college for its support.
