CHESTER & FLINTSHIRE TALKING NEWSPAPER

Chester & Flintshire Talking Newspaper Logo

Chester & Flintshire Talking Newspaper provides a weekly ‘round up’ of local news together with a magazine edition.

Volunteers record items which are copied onto ‘memory sticks’ to be played through a simple speaker or through a PC.

We can provide a player if one is required.

The memory sticks are delivered free of charge by the Royal Mail in a plastic pouch.

Listeners simply turn around the address label to return the stick to the studio in the pouch so we can use it to record another edition.

Chester Talking Newspaper, a registered charity, has its own recording studio located in Chester city centre. Since 1977 we have been recording and distributing local news to hundreds of visually impaired listeners in the Chester and Flintshire area every week.

Our magazine and newspaper sections can be heard  on our website on the Listen Now page. You can also listen via any Internet Radio that has been set to our addresses, or listen on the British Wireless for the Blind ‘Sonata’ internet radio. If you live in the Chester or Flintshire area and would like to receive our audio recordings by post, please Contact us :
